Cuban naturalized Brazilian Yoandy Leal is appointed by the volleyball community, including athletes, former players and specialized media as one of the biggest players in the world today. The striker was the highlight of Lube Citivanova in winning the 2020/21 Italian Volleyball Superliga. The team defeated Perugia in the fourth game of the final playoff by 25/20, 25/22, 21/25 and 25/21 and closed the series 3-1.

Adding only the results in the Brazilian Superliga and in the Italian Superliga, two of the main club competitions in the world, in nine seasons, Leal's numbers are expressive. There were a total of 25 titles in 30 finals disputed by the teams of SADA Cruzeiro and Lube Civitanova. In other words, Yoandy Leal wins five out of every six finals he plays.
